Arsenal & Liverpool circling amid Barcelona’s struggles to register Dani Olmo

A number of leading clubs from across the continent are keeping a close eye on the situation of Barcelona star Dani Olmo.

This comes amid the ongoing efforts of the Camp Nou brass to get the midfielder registered for the remainder of the campaign.

The name of Spanish international Olmo has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the course of the last week.

As much comes as the deadline for Barcelona to register their summer signing for the 2nd half of the term inches ever closer.

Late last week, the Blaugrana saw an appeal to The Commercial Court knocked back, before a further rejection was forthcoming on the part of the Court of First Instance number 47 of Barcelona on Monday.

This leaves Joan Laporta and co. with mere hours to get Olmo’s registration over the line.

And, with this as the context, a whole host of clubs have positioned themselves in the fray to pounce…

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Several teams are closely monitoring the situation of the international striker with the intention of signing him during the winter transfer market if he becomes a free agent.’

Amongst those interested, it is claimed, are Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City.

German giants Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are also watching on with intent.

And yet, Olmo, for his part, has to date refused to even entertain discussions with any other club, fully determined to work out his situation to stay put in Barcelona through next summer and beyond.
