Miguel Gutiérrez has started 11 of Girona’s 12 games this season, helping the side from Catalonia lead the way in La Liga.
His performances in 2023-24 have alerted several Premier League teams, report Relevo. One of the clubs who have been looking at the 22-year-old the most in recent weeks is Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Jurrien Timber’s injury at the start of the season has left Oleksandr Zinchenko as the only left-back at the Emirates, to the extent that they have used Takehiro Tomiyasu at left-back, and they are currently weighing up their options.
Gutiérrez, who came through the Real Madrid academy, has a contract with Girona until 2027. Madrid have 50% of a future sale and a right of first refusal and therefore can buy the attacking wing-back by matching half of any offer that Girona may receive.
