Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler has taken to social media, to reveal his appreciation for departing teammate Toni Kroos.
As much, of course, comes fresh off an emotional evening for Kroos on Saturday.
After announcing his impending retirement from the game earlier this week, the German international took to the pitch for the final time at the Santiago Bernabéu, in a La Liga meeting with Real Betis.
The matchup, both before and after, featured a host of tributes to Kroos, whose status as one of the greatest midfielders in the storied history of Real Madrid has long been cemented.
Ahead of kick-off, players from both sides formed a guard of honour for the 34-year-old, in a deserved show of respect.
And the aforementioned Arda Güler, in the game’s aftermath, made use of a photo of as much to send a public message to his soon-to-be former teammate.
Taking to his official Instagram account, midfielder Güler posted the image in question, accompanied by the caption:
