Real Madrid star Antonio Rüdiger has taken to social media, to send a message of backing and encouragement to defensive partner, Dani Carvajal.
This of course comes after the latter was condemned to a fresh spell on the sidelines this week.
After picking up a knee injury in Real Madrid’s victory over Barcelona, Carvajal was forced under the knife to repair the issue earlier today.
The 33-year-old, as a result, is understood to be facing up to another extended stretch on the treatment table.
Just back from a prior muscular complaint, and not long off an ACL tear, it is therefore safe to assume that Carvajal is likely feeling a bit down on Tuesday.
And as alluded to above, with as much in mind, teammate Antonio Rüdiger therefore took to social media in an effort to lift Carvajal’s spirits this afternoon.
In a post on his official Instagram account, stopper Rüdiger unveiled a photo of he and his fellow defender, accompanied by the caption:
‘Cheer up my captain. You will come back stronger than ever’
