Atlético Madrid’s appeal against Antonie Griezmann’s two-match ban has been successful and the Frenchman is now available to play against AC Milan, according to Marca.

UEFA has decided to reduce the two-match ban imposed on the Atlético player last Wednesday and head coach Diego Simeone will be able to count on his forward for the most important game of their season so far.

The French player was sent off during Liverpool’s visit to the Wanda Metropolitano a month ago and after serving the first match of his suspension, he learned on Wednesday that he would not be able to play against Milan either.

Griezmann, who joined up with the team on Thursday after playing for France, celebrated the news on his social media channels.
