Former Barcelona star Ansu Fati has on Wednesday taken to social media, to send a message of support and encouragement the way of a former Blaugrana teammate.
The player in question? Gavi.
Midfielder Gavi is for his part of course in the midst of an altogether challenging week to date.
After being forced back under the knife to solve a complaint in the same knee in which he previously tore the ACL, the 21-year-old was condemned to a more lengthy spell on the sidelines than previously predicted.
As confirmed in a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms, Gavi is expected to be out of action for between four and five months.
This news has left the Spanish international understandably downtrodden, throwing his World Cup hopes for next summer into serious doubt.
Messages of support, in turn, have since come pouring in for Gavi from across the world of football.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, adding his name to this list of well-wishers was a former teammate of the midfielder in Catalunya’s capital.
In a post on his official Instagram account, Ansu Fati, in the midst of a loan stint at AS Monaco, unveiled a photo of he and Gavi accompanied by the caption:
