A transfer-linked member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has made his way onto the radar of another Premier League club.
That’s according to Sport Witness, citing El Pais, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Casadó has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the media headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last couple of weeks.
This comes amid the understanding that, amid mounting interest in his signature from across the continent, the 21-year-old’s future has been thrown somewhat up in the air.
Whilst Casadó remains held in high regard by boss Hansi Flick, the Spanish international could find consistent game time tough to come by this season.
With the possibility on the table of securing a big-money fee for something of a fringe player, Barcelona could therefore open the door to a sale ahead of the transfer deadline.
And as alluded to above, this week, a fresh suitor is understood to have entered the fray for Casadó.
As per the aforementioned Sport Witness, Unai Emery’s Aston Villa have joined Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United in the hunt for the all-action midfielder.
Not only that, but the Villa Park brass have gone as far as to put a proposal on the table for Casadó.
