Barcelona star Fermín López has this week named the summer arrival at the club who has left him most surprised with the level of his abilities.
The board at the Spotify Camp Nou of course added several new high-profile names to Hansi Flick’s squad over the course of this summer’s transfer window.
Though Barca ultimately failed to land their desired big-name new centre-forward, the likes of Rodri, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Gabriel Jesus all put pen to paper in Catalunya’s capital.
Speaking during an interview with Mundo Deportivo this week, the aforementioned Fermín López was therefore asked which of this quartet has surprised him most in training.
And the Spanish international went on to point towards winger Gordon, explaining:
”I already knew Rodri, so I wasn’t too surprised, but I’d say Gordon. We’ve played against Newcastle in the Champions League a couple of times, I think, but I hadn’t seen much of him. I haven’t watched many of their matches, and honestly, he surprised me a lot, and I think he’s a player who’s going to help us a great deal.”
