Ángel Correa opens door to January exit from Atlético Madrid

Atlético Madrid star Ángel Correa is warming to the prospect of calling time on his stint with the club this month.

That’s according to Marca, who have this afternoon provided a fresh insight into Correa’s future at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The Argentine, it is claimed, has a lucrative offer on the table from an unnamed club in the Saudi Pro League.

And, having spent the last couple of days in the same country amid Atlético’s ultimately fruitless efforts to clinch the Supercopa de España, Correa is said to be increasingly open to taking his talents to the Middle East.

Diego Simeone and co, for their part, are not opposed to the transfer, with Correa continuing to play something of a bit-part role in Spain’s capital.

Having already rejected a Saudi proposal for his signature, though, an improved offer would be required for a deal to be struck this month.

It now remains to be seen whether as much is coming prior to La Liga’s winter transfer window slamming shut on February 2nd.
