Former Real Madrid star Marcelo has taken to social media, to reveal his anger with the nature of Los Blancos’ dropped points against Valencia on Saturday night.
As much, of course, comes fresh off what will likely go down as the most drama-filled fixture of the season in La Liga.
The matchup in question saw Valencia play host to Real Madrid, with the spoils ultimately shared owing to a Vinícius Jr-inspired comeback on the part of the latter.
And yet, post-match, Carlo Ancelotti’s visitors were left utterly incensed.
This came after Jude Bellingham saw what looked set to prove the latest of winners not allowed to stand.
After Brahim Díaz whipped a delivery into the Valencia penalty area, referee Jesús Gil Manzano blew for full-time, mere milliseconds before Bellingham nodded home a fine header.
An inevitable fracas ensued, which saw Real’s players and staff alike make their frustrations with the actions of the man in charge crystal clear.
The fallout has since carried over onto social media, too, with the likes of Vinícius Jr, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga having all spoken up.
And, as alluded to above, in the early hours of Sunday, such members of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad have been joined in lashing out by a once-beloved member of the Blancos’ ranks.
The player in question? Marcelo.
Responding to a post on Real Madrid’s official Instagram account, former left-back Marcelo left little room for interpretation, in writing:
“Always the same ones against us”
