An insight into the excitement levels behind the scenes at La Liga giants Barcelona when it comes to the upcoming signing of Joan García has on Wednesday been provided.
The name of goalkeeper Joan has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more across the day to date.
This comes with the 24-year-old now considered to be on the verge of a move to Barcelona.
As confirmed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, with an agreement on the terms of a contract now in place between the parties, the Blaugrana have informed Joan’s entourage of their intention to activate his Espanyol release clause next week.
And one leading figure at the Camp Nou who is nothing short of overjoyed with the Joan operation is Barcelona president Joan Laporta.
As per a report from Blaugrana insider Victor Navarro, in fact:
‘There’s one person who’s incredibly happy and excited about the signing of Joan García: Barça president Joan Laporta. For Laporta, it is almost like a title.’
