Almería star departs for Saudi Arabia

A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga 2 outfit Almería has this week agreed on the terms of a move to Saudi Arabia.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Lázaro Vinícius as the player in question.

Lázaro, for his part, is a 23-year-old attacker, who can operate in a number of roles across the frontline.

A former youth international with Brazil, the Belo Horizonte native chiefly operates on the left wing, though.

After a loan spell back in his home country of Brazil last year, Lázaro spent the 2024/25 campaign back on the books of parent club Almería.

And his efforts along the way, as alluded to above, evidently proved enough to convince those behind the scenes at one of Saudi football’s top-flight clubs.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of Fabrizio Romano that:

‘Lázaro Vinicius leaves Almeria to join Saudi side Al Najma SC. €5m initial fee plus 15% sell-on clause agreed.’
