Alexander-Arnold-Arbeloa rumours clarified at Real Madrid

Speculation pointing towards an incoming departure from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold has early this week been clarified.

This comes amid the assurance that the Englishman will be going nowhere any time soon.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold of course emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter in Spain’s capital over recent days.

As much came after it was surprisingly claimed that the former Liverpool man was inching towards a surprise early exit from the Bernabéu.

Following his installation on the bench in place of Xabi Alonso, Álvaro Arbeloa was rumoured to have informed Alexander-Arnold that he is not part of the club’s plans.

As alluded to above, however, such speculation has since been firmly denied.

As per a report from Real Madrid insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, no such meeting ever took place.

Not only that, but:

‘According to multiple sources consulted, Arbeloa will be counting on him in the coming months. The club have asked for patience since Alexander-Arnold’s arrival, maintaining their confidence in him.’
