As much comes after followers of the Jeddah-based club ramped up their collective efforts to kickstart a move for a member of the defensive ranks at Barcelona.
The player in question? Andreas Christensen.
The name of stopper Christensen has returned to the forefront of the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes amid claims that, despite his expected importance in Hansi Flick’s Blaugrana squad this season, the Danish international is not opposed to the prospect of moving on before the close of the summer transfer window.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘Even though he still has two more years left on his contract, until June 2026, Christensen would not be against his departure, provided that the offer that arrives meets his aspirations, both financially and sportingly.

As revealed by the reliable Achraf Ben Ayad, the Al-Ittihad faithful on Wednesday night kickstarted a hashtag ‘calling for Christensen’s signature’, which has since gone viral across ‘X’.
