A leading member of the attacking ranks at Spanish outfit Real Valladolid is inching towards a move to The Netherlands, with Ajax.
That’s according to Dutch transfer insider Mike Verweij, who points towards Raúl Moro as the player in question.
Winger Moro, for his part, spent this past season building on his reputation as a potential star in the making.
Despite Real Valladolid’s collective struggles – the Pucelanos were relegated back to Spain’s 2nd tier – their young attacker continued to shine bright.
All told, in 34 appearances between La Liga and the Copa del Rey, Moro racked up a solid haul of five goals and six assists.
Such production has given rise to transfer links with a whole host of clubs from across the continent.
And as alluded to above, this week, one such outfit have taken a significant step towards the 22-year-old’s signing.
As per a report from the aforementioned Mike Verweij of De Telegraaf:
‘Ajax have reached a verbal agreement with Moro after the European Under-21 Championship match Italy-Spain, in which the Spanish international played a leading role.’
Moro, it is understood, has agreed on the terms of a five-year deal in Amsterdam.
It is now up to Ajax to negotiate a deal with their counterparts at Real Valladolid.
