‘Ahead of his peers’ – Barcelona left ‘surprised’ by the condition of summer signing

The coaching staff at La Liga champions Barcelona have been left surprised by the level showcased by summer signing Roony Bardghji to date.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of youngster Bardghji has of course taken its place centre stage in the headlines surrounding Barcelona on Sunday.

This comes after the 19-year-old was afforded his debut appearance in the colours of the Catalans.

En route to a 3-1 friendly victory over Vissel Kobe in Japan, Bardghji was introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half.

And the winger went on to make his presence firmly felt, notching Barca’s 2nd goal of the day courtesy of a fine left-footed strike.

Even prior to as much, though, Bardghji was already making a name for himself in Hansi Flick’s squad.

As much has today been confirmed by Sport, who, after the player’s recent ACL injury, report that:

‘The state in which the Scandinavian winger arrived was surprising. Several steps ahead of most of his peers.’
