Agent urges Barcelona to move for Atalanta star

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been encouraged to launch a transfer swoop for a member of the midfield ranks at Atalanta.

The player in question? Éderson.

Midfielder Éderson is for his part in the midst of another fine campaign to date on the books of Serie A outfit Atalanta.

The Brazilian has for several years now been considered one of the first names on the team sheet in Bergamo, hailed for his tenacity and ball-winning talents, but also his ability to get forward when required.

And such qualities would not look at all out of place in the engine room ranks of the aforementioned Barcelona.

That’s according to agent André Cury, who had the following to say during an interview with Què T’hi Jugues (as cited by Diario Sport) this week:

“When I worked at Barça I helped bring Paulinho and Arturo Vidal because I understand that Barça need strength in midfield. A player who I think can adapt very well to the system of play, contribute a lot of physicality and a lot of experience, is Éderson, who plays for Atalanta. It is an opportunity because he is at the end of his contract.”
