Adidas pushing Florian Wirtz to follow in Jude Bellingham’s Real Madrid footsteps

A fresh insight into the future of Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz has come to the fore online.

And the info will no doubt be met with widespread excitement on the part of fans of one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The outfit in question? Real Madrid.

As per a report from German outlet Bild, as cited by Diario AS, Adidas are keen for Wirtz – one of the brand’s sponsored athletes – to take his talents to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Despite widespread interest from across the continent, the 20-year-old himself is understood to be keen to stay put in his home country through the summer of 2025.

But, at that point, Adidas are ready to nudge Wirtz towards Real, despite the interest of the likes of Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

As much comes with the sporting giants having long acted as the kit manufacturers for Los Blancos, and Leverkusen reluctant to sell to a direct rival in Bayern (also bound to Adidas).

It is added that Adidas previously played a role in Jude Bellingham sealing a move to Madrid, with the early success being enjoyed by the Englishman in La Liga representing excellent news for his lead sponsor.

In turn, Wirtz could soon be urged to follow suit, a move which would see Real add another of world football’s finest talents to a frankly ludicrous core of stars under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti.
