Adama Traoré closing on La Liga return

Former Barcelona star Adama Traoré is closing on an imminent return to his home country. This comes amid the understanding that the explosive winger is on the verge of committing to terms with Deportivo La Coruña.

Attacker Traoré, for his part, is currently available on the market as a free agent. Following a short-lived stint with West Ham United, the 30-year-old was released earlier this summer, following the Irons’ relegation to the English Championship.

Traoré, in turn, has since been linked with potential moves to a host of clubs across Europe and beyond.

And as alluded to above, early this week, a clear frontrunner appears to have emerged in the race to land the one-time Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers man.

The info comes courrtesy of transfer market journalist Matteo Moretto, who reports:

‘Adama Traoré is getting closer and closer to Dépor. The next 48 hours will be decisive, but at the club, there’s a moderate optimism regarding the signing being finalized.’
