A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is the subject of ongoing interest on the part of AC Milan.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who name Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen, for his part, is fresh off what was an altogether difficult term in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
Owing to a pair of long-term injury problems, the Dane, in fact, took to the pitch in a competitive setting on just six occasions.
The latter weeks of the season saw Christensen play a more notable role, with the former Chelsea man’s solid form despite his lack of match sharpness having proven hugely encouraging from a Barcelona standpoint.
As much, though, looks unlikely to prove sufficient to maintain for the 29-year-old a place in Hansi Flick’s squad.
After Blaugrana sporting director Deco recently admitted that one of Barca’s central defenders will be on the move this summer, Christensen’s name has been widely pushed as the most likely departure.
And as alluded to above, one club who are continuing to express an interest in Christensen’s services come in the form of AC Milan.
The Rossoneri were previously linked with a move for the stopper just last week.
And such speculation has now reemerged, amid a report from MD detailing:
‘AC Milan are reportedly targeting Christensen to bolster their defensive core. According to the newspaper ‘Corriere dello Sport’, Milan want to take advantage of Christensen ‘s contract situation to secure his signing at an affordable price.’
The centre-back, for reference, is due to see his contract terms at the Camp Nou expire next summer.
