A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona is drawing interest by way of Italy ahead of the upcoming transfer deadline.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, citing ‘several Italian media outlets’, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen is for his part fresh off taking to the pitch for the first time this season last weekend, introduced off the bench en route to Barcelona’s La Liga victory over Levante.
The Dane, though, appears to remain behind first-choice pairing Pau Cubarsí and Ronald Araújo in the plans of Hansi Flick.
And with as much in mind, AC Milan are understood to be ready to put a considerable offer on the Camp Nou desks.
The Rossoneri, it is claimed, are willing to fork over €30 million to land Christensen over the days ahead.
Just weeks ago, Barcelona would have been expected to immediately pounce on such a proposal, ahead of the expiration of the stopper’s contract in 2026.
Following Iñigo Martínez’s departure for Saudi Arabia, though, Christensen’s sale would leave the Blaugrana alarmingly short at the back.
