Barcelona sporting director Deco has spoken out on the club’s alleged interest in the signing of Crystal Palace star Marc Guéhi.
This came during a recent interview with Spanish outlet SER.
Drawn on the mounting speculation linking Barcelona with a swoop for Guéhi next summer, Deco explained:
“We have identified a lot of players… He’s a good player. We know what we want, but we’re not going to speak publicly about what it is. We’re content to have a young squad, with players from La Masia, that allows us to be more calm.”
Stopper Guéhi is for his part understood to be a man in-demand with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.
The England international, considered one of the Premier League’s standout central defenders, is due to see his contract terms with Crystal Palace expire upon the term’s close.
A whole host of leading clubs from across the continent have in turn been credited with an interest in bringing him in next summer.
