No fewer than five members of the academy setup at La Liga giants Barcelona were spotted in training alongside the club’s first-team stars on Thursday.
That’s according to Barca insider Gerard Romero, who has provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Hansi Flick’s troops are of course primed to mark their post-international break return to action in just two days’ time.
After being put to the sword by Real Sociedad last time out, the Blaugrana will make the trip to Balaídos, eyeing a return to winning ways in a La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.
Amid ongoing preparations for the clash, a number of leading members of Flick’s ranks have been absent, through a combination of injury problems and international commitments.
As much has afforded an opportunity to some of the club’s next crop of breakthrough talents to showcase their abilities at senior level.
And, as alluded to above, this morning, five such players found themselves front and centre in the action at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
As per a report from Gerard Romero, the quintet in question came in the form of Aleix Garrido, Unai Hernández, Noah Darvich, David Oduro and Alvaro Cortés.
