A quartet of leading Real Madrid stars played no part in group training on Friday morning.
This comes amid confirmation that all of Eduardo Camavinga, Kylian Mbappé, Federico Valverde and Antonio Rüdiger were advised against participating with Xabi Alonso’s squad at Valdebebas.
As per a report from Blancos insider Mario Cortegana, in the case of the former pair, both are likely to miss out this weekend, when their teammates lock horns with Deportivo Alavés in a La Liga clash.
There is more ‘optimism’ when it comes to the situation of midfielder Valverde, though defender Rüdiger’s status appears to be up in the air.
Real Madrid of course find themselves in something of a personnel crisis at present.
Adding to the problems outlined above, all of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dani Carvajal, David Alaba, Ferland Mendy and Éder Militão are sidelined through injury.
Endrick, Fran García and Álvaro Carreras, meanwhile, are ruled out this weekend through suspension.
