A member of the midfield ranks at Real Madrid emerged with a higher match rating than star of the show Kylian Mbappé in the club’s latest outing.
That’s according to statisticians Sofascore, who point towards Arda Güler as the player in question.
Real Madrid were of course back in action on Saturday evening.
After making the trip to Anoeta for a La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad, Xabi Alonso’s troops ultimately emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result.
Post-match, it was star frontman Kylian Mbappé who took the majority of the plaudits, after notching both a goal and an assist.
And though the Frenchman lifted the Man of the Match award as a result, another Real Madrid player, statistically, outdid Mbappé in San Sebastian.
As per Sofascore, whilst Mbappé was deserving of an 8.4 match rating on Saturday, Arda Güler was handed an 8.6.
The young Turk was also on target against La Real, amid a fine individual showing.
