4 Barcelona youngsters train with first-team ahead of Real Madrid

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick called a quartet of upcoming young talents up to train with the club’s senior team once again on Saturday.

The quartet in question consists of Xavi Espart, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández, Toni Fernández and Jofre Torrents.

All of defender Xavi, attacking midfielder Dro, attacker Toni and full-back Jofre have spent time plying their trade with Barca’s first-team at different points this season.

In the case of Dro and Toni, as much has even culminated in competitive action on the pitch.

The former featured from the off against Olympiacos in the Champions League in midweek, with the latter having done likewise against Girona last weekend.

Amid the ongoing injury problems in Catalunya’s capital, both were therefore afforded the chance to impress again at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning, alongside fellow starlets Xavi and Jofre.

It is not out of the question that all four could in turn be part of the travelling Barcelona party set for Spain’s capital to take on arch rivals Real Madrid on Sunday.
