A fresh insight into the group of players considered surplus to requirements at La Liga giants Barcelona with a view to the summer has on Saturday been forthcoming.
The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and confirms that a quartet of stars, as things stand, find themselves on the exit ramp at the Camp Nou.
The players in question? Iñaki Peña, Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre and Pau Víctor.
All of goalkeeper Peña, attacker Ansu, midfielder Torre and frontman Víctor, of course, are fresh off difficult respective seasons in Catalunya’s capital in 2024/25.
Amid stiff competition for places, the four struggled for playing time, condemned to bit-part roles under the watch of Hansi Flick.
In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of new homes being sought out for the group for next season.
As per a report from Sport:
‘The players that are not in the plans of Barcelona for next season are Iñaki Peña, Ansu Fati, Pablo Torre and Pau Víctor.’
Peña, for his part, has attracted interest from Celta Vigo, Ansu is in the sights of AS Monaco, Víctor is on the agenda at former club Girona, whilst Torre has put matters surrounding his future on hold until after the U21 European Championships.
