Real Madrid star Rodrygo on Sunday etched his name into the club’s history books.
Unfortunately for the Brazilian, however, as much came for altogether less than positive reasons.
Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, making the trip to Catalunya for a La Liga clash with Girona.
When all was said and done, Xabi Alonso’s troops were forced to settle for a disappointing share of the spoils, in a 1-1 draw.
Rodrygo was for his part introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half at the Estadi Montilivi, in the hopes of proving himself a source of inspiration.
As alluded to above, though, instead, the 24-year-old made unwanted history…
As per a report from statistician ‘MisterChip’ on ‘X’:
‘Rodrygo has just equalled the WORST STREAK OF CONSECUTIVE MATCHES WITHOUT SCORING by a FORWARD in the 123 years of Real Madrid’s history.’
Rodrygo’s scoreless streak now stands at 30 matches, dating all the way back to March of this year, equalling record-holder Mariano Díaz.
