3 return: Real Madrid’s predicted XI to face Girona

An insight into the personnel plans of Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso for the club’s upcoming meeting with Girona has been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Marca, and confirms that a trio of alterations are being planned by the Spanish tactician.

The first comes in goal, where Thibaut Courtois is expected to step back in in place of Andriy Lunin, after recovering from a recent knock.

Moving into defence, and Dean Huijsen has been tipped to slot back in at centre-back, after also sitting out against Olympiacos in midweek through injury.

In midfield, meanwhile, Jude Bellingham will be the headline inclusion, with the Englishman having been considered well enough only for a substitute role in Athens.

Elsewhere, the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Eduardo Camavinga and Vinícius Jr. are in line to maintain their starting places, for a visiting line-up as follows at the Estadi Montilivi:

Courtois; Trent, Asencio, Huijsen, Carreras; Valverde, Camavinga, Güler; Bellingham; Mbappé, Vinícius.
