Three highly-regarded up-and-coming members of the academy ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona were on Thursday called back up to senior training.
This comes amid the ongoing injury crisis in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona are currently in the thick of preparations for a post-international break return to action this weekend.
A La Liga meeting with Catalan rivals Girona lies in wait, in which the Blaugrana will set about securing a return to winning ways.
In efforts towards as much, though, the reigning Spanish champions will be forced to make do without a whole host of key players.
The likes of Joan García, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are all unavailable through injury at present.
With as much in mind, Hansi Flick has been forced to lean on Barca’s academy to fill out the numbers in training of late.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, this proved the case once more.
This comes amid confirmation that all of Xavi Espart, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernández and Toni Fernández were drafted back into the first-team setup at the Ciutat Esportiva this morning.
