Federico Valverde was not the only Real Madrid star to suffer an injury setback in the club’s meeting with Rayo Vallecano.
This comes amid confirmation that Thibaut Courtois also picked up a problem on the fitness front.
Real Madrid were of course back in action on the La Liga front earlier today.
En route to a disappointing goalless stalemate with Rayo Vallecano, however, Los Blancos saw midfielder Valverde limp off late on.
And as revealed by Marca, goalkeeper Courtois, despite seeing out the full 90 minutes, also finished the clash dealing with discomfort.
The Belgian is understood to have picked up a strain in his right thigh, which couldy yet rule him out of the November international break with his country.
Both players are set to be put through a round of medical scans and tests at Valdebebas on Monday morning, at which point their respective statuses for the break will be decided.
