Another member of the first-team ranks at Real Madrid has on Wednesday been nominated for a La Liga award.
The player in question? Arda Güler. The prize? U23 Player of the Month.
Youngster Arda is for his part fresh off another impactful performance this past weekend.
Introduced off the bench during Real Madrid’s league trip to Getafe, the 20-year-old laid on the assist for the game’s only goal, courtesy of a defence-splitting pass.
This kept alive what has long been a stellar stretch of individual form on Arda’s part, who has responded to his more prominent role in Spain’s capital this season in hugely impressive fashion.
And as alluded to above, on Wednesday, such endeavours have been aptly recognised by those in charge of Spanish football.
This comes amid confirmation that, after teammate Kylian Mbappé was put forward for La Liga’s Player of the Month award earlier today, Arda has secured a nomination of his own, for the division’s U23 Player of the Month for October:
