La Liga giants Barcelona have on Saturday seen their concerns on the personnel front continue to mount.
This comes owing to developments in this evening’s La Liga meeting between the Blaugrana and Atlético Madrid.
Hansi Flick’s troops are currently locked in action in the Spanish top-flight, hopeful of taking advantage of the shock defeat suffered by arch rivals Real Madrid earlier in the day.
And as things stand, this is precisely what Barca find themselves headed towards, leading by two goals to one.
As alluded to above, however, an otherwise positive night’s work to date for the reigning Spanish champions has been soured by not one, but two injury setbacks.
First, late in the first-half in Madrid, Barcelona saw Ronald Araújo limp off with what appeared to be a muscular problem.
Then, on the far side of the interval, the man who replaced the Uruguayan, in Marc Bernal, also pulled up with a fitness complaint.
From here, midfielder Bernal was checked by the visitors’ medical staff, before being advised to depart the field of play, too.
It now remains to be seen if either is facing up to an incoming spell on the sidelines.
