2nd Barcelona star limps off vs Atlético Madrid

La Liga champions Barcelona appear to have been dealt a double blow on the injury front on Tuesday evening.

This comes owing to developments in the Blaugrana’s showdown with Atlético Madrid.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action on the domestic front, in a league meeting with Diego Simeone’s Atléti.

Late in proceedings at the Spotify Camp Nou, Hansi Flick’s troops appear to be headed towards a crucial 2-1 victory.

As alluded to above, though, their efforts en route to as much may well have come at a cost.

First, after slotting home what currently represents the game’s winning goal, Dani Olmo was forced off with a shoulder issue.

And this was followed in short order by midfield partner Pedri also limping out of the evening’s action.

After going to ground with what looked like a muscular concern on the night of his first start in over a month, Spanish international Pedri made it clear that he was in no condition to continue, hooked by boss Hansi Flick as a result.

It now remains to be seen if he is facing up to a fresh spell on the treatment table…
