Serie A outfit Como have set their sights on the signature of another member of the first-team setup at La Liga champions Barcelona.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing transfer journalist Alfredo Pedullà, who points towards Iñaki Peña as the player in question.
Barcelona and Como have already done business on one occasion this summer.
After Álex Valle enjoyed a successful loan stint with the latter over the 2nd half of last season, the young defender was snapped up by Cesc Fàbregas’ side on a permanent basis.
And the Italian side’s shopping spree in Catalunya may not be finished there…
As per a report from MD:
‘Alfredo Pedullà suggests that Como are fully involved in the bidding to sign Iñaki Peña and points out that the presence of Cesc Fàbregas as coach would be a factor pleasing to the Barça goalkeeper.’
Shot-stopper Peña is of course widely expected to be on the move before the summer is out, having continued to tumble down the pecking order between the posts in Hansi Flick’s squad following the arrival of Joan García.
