La Liga champions Barcelona have on Saturday named the club’s matchday squad for their opening fixture of the 2025/26 campaign.
This of course comes as the Blaugrana prepare to kick the defence of their Spanish top-flight title into gear later this evening.
Hansi Flick’s troops have been pencilled in for an opening day meeting with RCD Mallorca, at Son Moix.
After a week of intense preparations, Barca, in turn, this morning named the squad of players tasked with securing a first three-point haul of the term.
And it featured a whole host of noteworthy inclusions and exclusions alike.
Registered in time, and therefore called up, are summer signings Joan García, and Marcus Rashford.
Missing out owing to registration issues, on the other hand, are goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, and defender Gerard Martín.
Elsewhere, Robert Lewandowski and Marc Bernal will sit out through injury, Héctor Fort has been left in Barcelona amid speculation surrounding his future, and Roony Bardghji has not been called up.
