2 Real Madrid stars sent home from national team duty

Two leading members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Friday been sent home from international duty.

The pair in question? Kylian Mbappé, and Eduardo Camavinga.

Forward Mbappé and midfielder Camavinga are fresh off booking their respective spots at next summer’s World Cup on Thursday night.

Whilst the former sat out the fixture amid problems with an ongoing injury, teammate Mbappé proved himself the star of the show in a 4-0 France victory over Ukraine.

Les Bleus will be back in action again on Sunday, in the final outing of their World Cup qualification campaign.

Neither Mbappé or Camavinga, though, will play any part.

As confirmed on Friday afternoon, the two Real Madrid stars have been sent back to base in Spain’s capital with respective fitness problems.

As per a report from COPE, the former is dealing with ‘inflammation in his right ankle’, whilst Camavinga has a ‘muscle strain’.

Neither player is expected to miss any kind of significant game time.
