Gavi to join Barcelona teammates on trip to Paris

All of a Barcelona persuasion will no doubt be delighted to hear of the club’s latest plans for sidelined midfielder Gavi.

Youngster Gavi, for his part, is of course in the midst of a long-term injury recovery, after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament whilst on international duty with Spain back in November.

The Barcelona coaching staff have done their best throughout this time to keep the 19-year-old involved with the rest of Xavi’s squad as much as possible.

This comes with Gavi, upon his return, expected to quickly work himself back into a pivotal role in the middle of the park.

Not in line to make his comeback until next season, the Spanish international, of course, will play no part in Barcelona’s upcoming endeavours on the continent.

The Blaugrana will be back in Champions League action on Wednesday night, in the first leg of their quarter-final tie with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

And though he will not take to the pitch at the Parc des Princes, Gavi, is has been confirmed, will be in attendance.

As part of the club’s official squad unveiling across social media this evening, Barcelona revealed that:

‘Gavi will also join the team in Paris!’
