France national team head coach Kylian Mbappé has provided an update on the wellbeing of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé. This comes amid Les Bleus’ ongoing preparations for their upcoming round of Nations League fixtures.
The Zidane era is of course set to get underway in France over the days ahead. Following the departure of Didier Deschamps over the summer, ‘Zizou’ last week named his maiden group of players for upcoming clashes with all of Türkiye, Belgium and Italy.
The aforementioned Mbappé, as expected, was included in his country’s squad, since confirmed as the French captain by his new manager, too.
On Wednesday, though, the 27-year-old sparked concern amongst Les Bleus’ supporters. This came upon Mbappé sitting out training with a sudden bout of illness.
Speaking during his latest appearance in front of the media on Thursday, Zidane was therefore asked for the latest on the situation of his star goalscorer. And the tactician’s response proved to be a positive one:
“Kylian Mbappé is fine. He’s ready.”
