Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has on Monday moved to showcase his support for teammate Dani Carvajal.
This, of course, comes after the Spanish international was condemned to a long-term spell on the sidelines.
Carvajal was for his part stretchered out of Real Madrid’s 2-0 La Liga victory over Villarreal this past weekend.
After undergoing a round of medical tests on Sunday, the worst fears of Blancos fans the world over were confirmed, the club’s defensive stalwart having been diagnosed with ‘a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, a ruptured external collateral ligament and a ruptured popliteus tendon in his right leg’.
Messages of support and well-wishes, in turn, have since come flooding in for Carvajal from across the world of football.
And, as alluded to above, on Monday, as much were added to by one of the 32-year-old’s most high-profile teammates in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Vinícius Jr. unveiled a photo of he and Carvajal, accompanied by the caption:
‘My captain. Stay safe next to your family and friends. We’ll be here for you. You will come back better than before. You’re a beast and you know it.’
