Yet another injury concern confirmed at Real Madrid

A 3rd member of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid has on Sunday been forced to pull out of international duty.

The player in question? Éder Militão.

The subject of injury woes has of course dominated the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.

This comes after Dani Carvajal was ruled out for what is likely to be the rest of the season through a serious knee injury, before Vinícius – also forced into a premature departure against Villarreal last night – was diagnosed with a neck issue.

Both, in turn, have withdrawn from international duty for the upcoming October break.

And, as alluded to above, late on Sunday evening, yet another member of Carlo Ancelotti’s ranks has followed suit.

As confirmed by Real Madrid insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic:

‘Éder Militão traveled to Brazil last night, he underwent tests, and a small muscle injury was detected in his left thigh.’

The stopper has as a result been sent back to Madrid, were he will spend the next couple of weeks undergoing treatment in an effort to return to full fitness.
