A head-turning statistic has come to the fore online, surrounding the respective endeavours of Xavi and Hansi Flick on the touchline at La Liga giants Barcelona.
This comes amid the revelation that, at the same point last season, the former had put as many points on the board as his predecessor.
Hansi Flick of course enjoyed a scintillating start to life in the dugout in Catalunya’s capital, opening up an early advantage atop the La Liga table courtesy of 11 wins from 12.
The last couple of weeks, however, have seen the German’s honeymood period brought to a swift end.
After being put to the sword by Las Palmas over the weekend, Barcelona have now managed just a solitary point from an available nine, dating back to the far side of the international break.
Taking the entirety of the campaign into consideration, the Blaugrana have, in turn, managed 34 points from 15 fixtures.
This just so happens to be the exact same haul which Xavi had secured at the same point in 2023/24, before the Spaniard was ultimately sent on his way upon the term’s conclusion.
Not only that, but he had racked up four points more after 15 games the season prior.
Food for thought for those to have so heavily criticised the Barca legend during his time on the Camp Nou bench…
