Xavi Hernández praised Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembélé after Barcelona’s 5-1 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
“Ousmane was very good and Robert made the difference. We had many chances to score more goals. We were superior and that’s why we got the result, although we were annoyed to concede that goal almost at half-time because of a mistake we made, they caught us from a corner that we took, these are things we need to improve on,” he said in quotes reported by Mundo Deportivo.
“He is happy, he provides assists, he makes a difference, he is a dagger on the wing and he is being decisive. I’ve seen few players with that ability in one-on-one situations. He is at the level of the best version of Neymar. He had suffered a lot in recent years and he deserves what he has now.”
“It’s fantastic to have him in the team, I can’t praise him enough. But it’s not just the hat-trick, it’s everything he does and what he brings. Apart from the goals, he makes the team play, he understands when to press, he gives us many solutions in attack, how he communicates, he understands the game. The best? There’s him, Benzema and also Haaland.”
