Wolves set to sign Valencia’s Gonçalo Guedes

Gonçalo Guedes is on the verge of joining Wolves from Valencia.

Valencia manager Gennaro Gattuso confirmed his departure at a press conference on Saturday night: “Corona called me and explained the situation with Guedes. An English club has made an offer for a lot of money and we have to accept it. The club couldn’t refuse the money they have offered for Guedes,” the Italian said.

Valencia journalist Héctor Gómez reports that Valencia have accepted Wolves’ offer for Guedes. The Premier League side will pay €30m fixed plus €5m in add-ons.

The Portuguese forward, who is set to fly to England to complete his move to Wolves, was left out of the Valencia squad for Saturday night’s friendly against Atalanta.

Gattuso now hopes that with the departure of Guedes and the revenue for the club, Los Che will be able to sign several players to improve the squad ahead of the new season.
