The impending debut of new Barcelona signing Wojciech Szczęsny with the club has this weekend moved a step closer.
This comes amid confirmation that the Pole has been officially registered with La Liga.
The name of goalkeeper Szczęsny has of course dominated the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.
This comes after the 34-year-old – sought out on the back of the long-term injury suffered by Marc-André ter Stegen – agreed to step out of retirement, to pen terms with Hansi Flick’s troops.
Szczęsny, in turn, enjoyed his first training session with the Blaugrana on Friday, impressing the coaching staff with his physical condition and sharpness.
And as much could well see the former Arsenal and Juventus man pushing for a first start on the far side of the international break.
This comes amid confirmation on Saturday afternoon that Szczęsny has been registered as a Barcelona player with La Liga.
