An insight into the plans of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid to cover for the loss of Joselu has today been forthcoming online.
The name of frontman Joselu has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.
This comes after the 34-year-old’s Real Madrid departure was made official.
After coming to the decision to take advantage of what he evidently feels could be his final shot at a big-money payday in the middle east, Joselu has put pen to paper on a deal with Qatari outfit Al Gharafa.
Joselu’s call to leave Real Madrid behind just a year on from his arrival from Espanyol is understood to have come as quite the shock to those behind the scenes at the club.
The Spanish international has repeatedly made clear both internally and externally his hopes of staying put for next season, before, evidently, having a change of heart.
As much has left something of a hole in the attacking ranks at Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, with Joselu’s profile having been considered a hugely useful one, owing to his different characteristics to the rest of Los Merengues’ attackers.
So, with all of this in mind, could Real Madrid move to replace him by way of the transfer market?
The answer, in short, is no.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘The plan is still not to sign in attack. With the arrivals of Mbappé and Endrick, Real Madrid consider their offensive arsenal closed and covered wonderfully, with the best attackers in the world.’
