An insight into the plans of the brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid to respond to the ban handed down to star midfielder Jude Bellingham has this afternoon been provided.
The name of England international Bellingham has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Spain across the day to date.
This comes after the 21-year-old learned his punishment for a red card picked up against Osasuna over the weekend.
Bellingham was of course given his marching orders out of the blue on Saturday, en route to Real’s disappointing 1-1 draw at El Sadar.
Referee José Munuera’s post-match report provided the following explanation for the dismissal:
‘In the 40th minute, Bellingham was sent off for the following reason: For addressing me, being just a few metres away, in the following terms: “F**k you”.’
On Tuesday, Real Madrid were made aware that Bellingham has been sanctioned for his actions with a two-game suspension.
How, though, do the Spanish champions intend to response to such news?
As per a report from Marca, the plan is to launch an appeal against the verdict.
As things stand, Bellingham is due to sit out Real’s upcoming La Liga fixtures against both Girona and Real Betis.
