Real marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the the Estadio de Vallecas for a La Liga meeting with struggling Rayo Vallecano.
Los Blancos headed into proceedings brimming with confidence, in the knowledge that a victory would see them, at least temporarily, open an eight-point advantage atop the Spanish top-flight.
When all was said and done, however, the evening’s visitors were forced to make do with just a share of the spoils.
This comes after Joselu’s opener inside three minutes was cancelled out by Raúl de Tomás just shy of the half-hour mark.
And this proved all she wrote when it came to the goalscoring in Puente de Vallecas.
Post-match, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of the Real Madrid faithful being less than satisfied.
