Why Real Madrid’s stars will be concerned by Kylian Mbappé’s UCL exit

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé’s exit from the Champions League on Tuesday is expected to give rise to an element of unrest in the dressing room at Real Madrid.

That’s according to Relevo, who on Tuesday pointed towards members of the playing and coaching staff alike as being increasingly ‘annoyed’ by the incessant media chatter surrounding the Frenchman.

Mbappé, for his part, is of course all set to take his talents to Spain’s capital in the summer.

As much comes with the 25-year-old having come to the decision not to renew his contract terms with the aforementioned PSG.

With Luis Enrique’s troops fresh off being sent packing from the Champions League at the hands of Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, Mbappé’s name is now expected to swiftly return to the forefront of the headlines, as plans for his official unveiling as a Real Madrid player ramp up.

And precisely as much is expected to be met with a less-than-positive reception across Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

As per the aforementioned Relevo, Los Blancos’ stars are desperate for their achievements in what could yet prove to be a historic double-clinching season not to be overshadowed by their incoming teammate:

‘Glimpses of the officialization of an open secret, of Mbappé’s imminent arrival in Madrid and of his galactic presentation cannot cover up the successes achieved by the footballers of the current template. Therefore, at this hour, asking for any details about the French star is more like bothering the staff.’
