Real Madrid are reportedly leading the race to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
Madrid are confident of landing the England international because of their historical appeal. No other club can claim to have won 14 Champions League titles.
There is also their current momentum under head coach Carlo Ancelotti. They are the reigning European and La Liga champions and have the current Ballon d’Or winner in their squad, Karim Benzema.
And last but not least, relations with Bellingham’s club Borussia Dortmund are also excellent. AS report that Florentino Pérez and Hans-Joaquim Watzke have been friends ever since Madrid signed Nuri Sahin in 2011.
Over the past decade, the clubs have worked together on deals for Achraf Hakimi and Reinier.
Dortmund even made it easier for Madrid to go for Erling Haaland, but in the end, they decided to target PSG forward Kylian Mbappé.
With Liverpool currently targeting other midfielders, Madrid are in pole position to land the gifted midfielder.
